Obscene video of girl goes viral in Odisha, two detained

Kendrapara: Even after advisory was issued by Odisha police against circulation of obscene videos and pictures on internet, the crime continues unabated.

Two days after a sex video clip featuring college students of Nayagarh district went viral on social media, another obscene video surfaced in Kendrapara.

Derabish police detained two persons for interrogation in connection with a video featuring intimate scenes of a young couple and blackmailing the girl for making the video viral.

However, two other suspects in connection with the case were absconding.

The police probe began on basis of complaint lodged by the victim against the accused. The girl alleged that youth, who is featured in the clip, shot the video and made it viral on social media.

According to reports, the girl had relationship with a youth identified as Soumya Ranjan Behera. He forced her to have physical relationship and shot a video featuring their intimate moments.

Behera had been blackmailing her through the video to have relationship and sex with him several times. When the girl protested, he threatened her to make the video viral on the internet and throw acid on her face. Even his friends were misbehaving with her and using vulgar language.

“I had relationship with Soumya Ranjan Behera. He forced me to have sex and shot the video of our intimate moments. Through the video, he had been blackmailing to have physical relations many times.
