OCA elections to be held by October 20

Cuttack: The elections of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) will be completed by October 20, informed association working committee chairman Dhiren Pallai today.

Elections to six posts, including president, vice-president, secretary, joint secretary, treasurer and a council member will be completed by October 20. The schedule of different phases of teh election process will be announce in due course; hence, the model code of conduct will be in operation, said a communique issued by OCA.

“The undersigned appointed as Electoral Officer for conduct of elections to the posts of office bearers of OCA under provisions of the (New) Constitution of OCA has initiated process of election to be completed by October 20. Accordingly, a request has been made to all affiliated members of OCA to submit names of their authorised representatives to the office of the Electoral Officer at OCA, Barabati Stadium,” the communique added.

Earlier this month, Bihar’s former Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) ML Majumdar was selected as the Election Officer for OCA.

Worth mentioning, the Committee of Administrator (CoA) of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked all the state cricket associations to complete elections by September 14.
