Bhubaneswar: Popular Odia actress and model Lipsa Mishra, known for her roles in TV serials such as ‘Kichi Luha Pi Jaye Utha’ and ‘To Agan Ra Tulasi Mu’, is inching closer to making a mark in Hindi entertainment industry with a music video.
Titled ‘Jiya Laagena’, the five-minute-long song features popular actor Sharad Malhotra, who is currently ruling the TV space with his hit show 'Kasam', essaying the role of an Indian Army man opposite Lipsa.

Sharad and Lipsa play a newly married couple in the music video, which has been conceptualised and directed by Bollywood singer Krishna Beura, who has also crooned the song.
Speaking to Odisha Sun Times, the gorgeous actress said: “I always wanted to do music videos in Hindi to be able to get noticed in Hindi entertainment industry. This dream has finally come true.”

The videos allow actors to exhibit their acting skills as these include scenes, where one needs to emote, besides shaking a leg to the music, she said.
‘Jiya Laagena’ is a romantic-emotional track which portrays the beautiful relationship between a soldier and his wife, she added.

The song, which will release on January 26, has been penned by Ravi Basnet and the video produced by Beura.

Lipsa, who shot to fame through a talent hunt, worked in some Odia TV mega serials before getting the big break in Ollywood in 2015 with ‘Maya’. She has also acted in Odia films, ‘Pilata Bigidigala’ and ‘Samaya Bada Balaban’.
