Bhubaneswar: In an attempt to develop and strengthen Odia language computing resources and preserve the written Odia documents, Dr. Nikhil Mohan Pattnaik came up with the idea of Odia Bibhaba- a digital library of Odia literature.
Currently, it features mainly printed periodicals, books in Odia language and some materials about Odisha and Odia writings in other languages.
Odia Bibhaba is a storehouse of Odia publications housing different types of materials categorized into newspaper, magazines, books, compilations, and reference. You can also find here a dictionary which contains 30,000 root words each in Odia and English with their meanings and around 60,000 commonly used Odia words.
Srujanika, an academic group interested in science, education, and development, is the brain behind Odia Bibhaba. It is a Bhubaneswar based non-profit organization founded in 1983 by Dr. Nikhil Mohan Pattnaik and Pushpashree Pattnaik.
