Odisha: 1 dead, another critical as car hits JCB machine

Sonepur:  A person died while another suffered critical injuries after the car they were travelling in collided with a stationary JCB machine near Arjunpur on Sonepur- Balangir road this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Subhrashu Joshi of Tileswar village in Boudh district and the injured is his driver Bikash.

As per reports, Joshi was travelling to Balangir district from Boudh this morning when driver Bikash lost control over the car, following which the vehicle hit the JCB machine parked on roadside.  Joshi died on the spot in the mishap.

On receiving information, fire brigade staff rushed to the spot, rescued injured Bikash and sent him to a hospital in Sonepur for treatment. Besides, Joshi’s body was sent for post-mortem. Police are further investigating into the incident.
