Odisha: 1 drowns, 1 more goes missing while taking bath after Holi celebrations

Bolangir/Nischintkoili: In two separate incidents today, a youth met his watery grave and another went missing while taking bath after Holi celebrations in Odisha districts.

In the first incident, a youth from Kandhapalipada under Town police limits in Bolangir district had gone to a nearby pond in the village to take bath. He slipped into deep water and drowned. Identity of the deceased has not been ascertained yet.

In the second incident, a youth named Rajkumar Senapati from Buhala village under Nischintkoili block in Cuttack district had gone to Luna River near Naga Mutt to take bath along with some of his friends. All of a sudden, Rajkumar was swept away by undercurrent and went missing.

On being informed, a team of fire services personnel reached the spot and launched a frantic search for the youth. However, he was not traced till the time when this report was filed.
