Berhampur:  Two teams of the Ganjam Sub-Collector Office here  today apprehended 10 persons, who were out on a morning walk at the MKCG Medical College and Hospital Ground violating the COVID-19 lockdown norms.

The officials later sent all of them to institutional quarantine as punishment. After a while, the officials released them on a undertaking mentioning not to repeat such offence in future.

In the last 24 hours, 19 persons were arrested and eight 8 cases registered here for violation of norms of the partial shutdown in the district. Besides,  238 liters of liquor has been seized during the period, informed Berhampur SP Pinak Mishra.
