Odisha: 125 new COVID-19 cases in Cuttack city

Cuttack: Another 125 COVID-19 cases were detected in Cuttack city during last 24 hours. Of the total fresh positive cases, 34 more corona cases were from the Kumbhar Sahi Micro Containment Zone.

As per the data released by the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC), 13 females were among the new COVID-19 cases from the micro containment zone.

Yesterday, the CMC declared the Kumbhar Sahi as a Micro Containment Zone after 24 residents from a building in the area tested positive for the deadly virus.

The data further mentioned as many as 24 positive cases were from institutional quarantine centres.

Of them, 16 cases including six Covid warriors were from the isolation ward of the SCB Medical College and Hospital.

The data added a total of 33 persons tested positive while being in home quarantine whereas 34 are local contact cases.

So far, a total of 3,653 positive cases were reported from the Cuttack city. While 2,204 have recovered, a total of 21 succumbed to the virus infection. The number of active cases stands at 1,428.
