Nayagarh: In a shameful incident, a minor girl was allegedly raped by a minor boy in Odagaon area of Odisha's Nayagarh district on Monday evening.

The incident took place when the 10-year-old victim, a class-V student, along with her twin sister was going for tuition. The accused, a 14-year-old boy of class-IX, forcibly took her to a secluded place where he raped her.

The girl returned home and narrated the entire ordeal to her parents. Her family members then enquired the minor boy regarding the incident and he accepted his fault. The family members of the minor girl then lodged a complaint with Odagaon police.

The minor girl's condition was stated to be critical. Police registered a case against the boy and took him into custody. He was sent for medical examination.
