Odisha : 2-year RI for ex-cop for forging certificates

Kendrapara, July 6:

An ex-cop was on Saturday convicted by a local court in Odisha’s headquarters town of Kendrapara  for forging his educational certificates.

The accused Rajat Kumar Parida had earlier been dismissed from his job as a constable after it was found that he had submitted a forged high school certificate to get the job.

Judicial Magistrate First Class, Manas Kumar Panda found the accused guilty of commission of the offence and sentenced him to two years of rigorous imprisonment, the prosecution counsel, Saroj Jena told OST.
