Odisha: 27 students of Udayanath Autonomous College test COVID positive

Cuttack: Amid sharp rise in COVID-19 cases in Odisha, as many as 27 students of Udayanath Autonomous College in Adaspur area of Cuttack district have tested positive for the virus.

After detection of the cases, the college authorities suspended classes for seven days as a precautionary measure.

The hostels of the educational institution have been closed while the inmates were asked the vacate the rooms and go home.

The college and hostels have been sanitized.

On the other hand, the semester examinations will be conducted with adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols. The students who have contracted the virus will appear for the exams in a separate hall with social distancing.
