Bhubaneswar: Three youths were killed after a speeding truck hit their motorcycle in Odisha’s Sundargarh district today.

The deceased have been identified as Debendra Dehury (35), Anadi Nayak (32) and Anil Dehury (26) of Toda slum under Koira police limits in Sundargarh.

The incident took place while the trio was returning home after a football match at a nearby village in the evening.

The speeding truck (Registration no--OD14X9311) hit the bike near a bridge on National Highway (NH)-520, killing the three youths on the spot.

On being informed by the locals, Koira police reached the spot and recovered the bodies before sending them for postmortem.

The incident has triggered tension in the locality. Notably, three persons were killed and two others were critically injured when a truck rammed an SUV in Koira area around a week ago.
