Odisha: 3 kids among 6 critical in road mishap on way to Ghatagaon Tarini temple

Bhubaneswar: At least six persons, including three children, sustained critical injuries in a road mishap in Keonjhar district of Odisha today.

The incident took place when a group of people from Jamshedpur in Jharkhand were on their way to Tarini temple in Keonjhar, sources said.

The injured persons are the native of Khurda district but they were staying in Jamshedpur for last few days. They were travelling to the Tarini temple in a car, said a source.

A speeding truck rammed the car from the front on National Highway no. 220 near Dhanabeni under Patana police limits. All of them got trapped inside the mangled car, sources said.

On being informed, the Fire Brigade personnel reached spot and rescued the injured before rushing them to a nearby hospital.

The injured persons were later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) as their condition deteriorated, sources added.
