Odisha: 662 category college teachers agree to manage Plus Two exams

Bhubaneswar: The agitating 662 category college teachers today agreed to take part in managing the annual +2 examinations scheduled to be held across Odisha from tomorrow.

However, the teachers will continue to stage protest to press their demands.

A decision in this regard was taken by the association after a meeting with Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari.

“The minister assured us that our demands will be met and a meeting in this regard will be convened between March 10 and 12. Following the assurance, we decided to cooperate with the examination process. However, protest will continue at Lower PMG,” said Golak Nayak, convenor of 662 category college teachers’ association.

The agitators have been staging protest demanding salary at par with other category of teachers. They had earlier threatened to boycott the +2 exams.
