Odisha activist files complaint as her pic appears on classified site

Woman social activist Linkan Subudhi today filed a complaint with Odisha police after her picture was uploaded to a free ad classified website.

As per police, picture of the software engineer-turned-social activist was seen posted on www.locanto.net following which she filed a complaint at Chandrasekharpur Police Station here demanding stringent action against the website.

The complainant said that her picture has been uploaded to the website without her consent which is a criminal offence. I have filed a complaint with police. Strict action should be initiated against the wrongdoers, Linkan said.

"We have received a complaint about complainant's photograph being uploaded to a website with objectionable content. We are investigating into the matter," Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi said.

Notably, Linkan is a well known social activist for her fight against child marriage and social injustice.
