Odisha actor Minaketan battling pancreatic cancer

Veteran actor Minaketan, who was entertaining audience with powerful performance especially in negative role in Odia film industry and theatre, is now battling pancreatic cancer in real life.

The actor is now undergoing treatment at Leelavati hospital in Mumbai following chronic illness. His family was shattered in pain after Minaketan was diagnosed with the deadly pancreatic cancer.

Earlier, Minaketan was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar after he felt pain due to excess release of sodium from his body. He was diagnosed with the cancer after undergoing medical tests including ultrasound and endoscopy.

He is undergoing treatment under supervision of Dr Suresh Advani, who confirmed about the disease.

As he is in early stage of pancreatic cancer, Dr Advani has assured him of recovery through treatment.

According to report, total cost of expenditure for the treatment will be Rs 35 lakh.
