This comes over a week after a movie producer Rajesh Ranjan Pati had alleged that Upasana Mohanty was threatening him to falsely implicate him in casting couch case every time he asked to return his money given as advance for a movie project.

“I had signed actor Upasana Mohanty for movie project ‘Gudia Rani’ in September 2015. She had also received an advance to work in the project. The project had to be shelved due to unavoidable circumstances. Now, even though I am trying to get back the money paid to Upasana, she refuses to pay me back. Instead, she threatens to level casting couch allegations and verbally abuses me,” Pati had told media in a press conference.

Apart from the casting couch allegations, Rout had claimed that his life is under threat from the actor and her associates.

The actor had, however, refuted the allegations.

It may be noted here that casting couch allegations in the regional film and entertainment industry is nothing new. Several accusations have been leveled in the recent past and popular comedian Tatwa Prakash Satapathy aka Papu Pom Pom was arrested for his alleged involvement in a casting couch case involving a minor girl.
