Odisha adds 1243 new COVID-19 cases with 1.79% TPR, 69 more die

Bhubaneswar: As many as 1243 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha during the last 24 hours while a total of 69427 samples were tested in the state, yesterday. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 1.79%.

Khurda district registered highest 399 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (177) and Jagatsinghpur (88).

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 987070 with 12129 active cases.

The Health Department also reported 69 more deaths due to COVID-19 as the toll mounted to 6435. Khurda district recorded highest 21 fatalities.
