Odisha adds 1247 more COVID-19 infections; caseload rises to 2,83,942
Bhubaneswar: The cumulative COVID-19 caseload of Odisha today further surged to 2,83,942 with detection of 1247 new infections in the last 24 hours.
Of the total fresh cases detected from 29 districts, 729 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 518 are local contact cases. Gajapati district has reported zero positive case in t he last 24 hours. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department today.
Khordha recorded highest 206 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (105) and Sundargarh (96).
Currently, the number of total active cases in the state stands at 16,512and recovered cases at 2,66,105.
