Bhubaneswar: With detection of 539 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, Odisha’s COVID-19 caseload today further surged to 10,23,133, including 5829 active cases.
Meanwhile, six more patients succumbed to the virus taking the toll to 8,163.
The new infectees include 77 in the age group of 0-18 years, said state Information and Public Relation (I &PR) Department.
Of the fresh cases detected from 25 districts, 316 are quarantine cases and 223 local contacts. COVID hotspot Khordha district continued to reports fresh infections in three digits with 254 persons contracting the virus in the last 24 hours. Cuttack reported 48 cases followed by Jagatsinghpur (31).
With 68,818 samples tested yesterday, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) stood at 0.78 %.
