Bhubaneswar: Odisha added 66 more deaths to its COVID-19 toll after due completion of death audit process in past 24 hours, informed the State Dashboard today.
The fatalities were reported from 18 districts. While Sambalpur registered the highest of 12 deaths due to COVID followed by Cuttack and Angul districts with 8 and 7 death cases respectively, Dhenkanal and Balasore were placed in fourth position with 5 fatalities each in terms of single-day deaths.
Similarly, 4 each died in Bargarh, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur and Khordha districts, 2 each in Ganjam, Kalahandi, Kendrapara and Sonepur districts. The virus claimed one each life in Deogarh, Jajpur, Jharsuguda and Nayagarh districts.
With this, the COVID toll surged to 6,953 in Odisha so far.
