Odisha adds 7002 new COVID cases; 42 more succumb to virus

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 7002 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours as the tally in the state mounted to 813096. A total of 71973 samples were tested in the state, yesterday.

Khurda registered highest 1167 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (771) and Jajpur (486).

With this, the number of active cases in the state reached 78031.

The state also reported 42 more COVID-19 deaths as the toll mounted to 2994.
