Odisha adds 7216 new COVID cases; Cuttack highest at 1091

Bhubaneswar: As many as 7216 more persons in the state contracted COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 7,39,955.

Of the fresh cases detected from all 30 districts, 4041 are quarantine cases and  3175 local contact cases.  A total of 43,768 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.

Cuttack records highest 1091 cases followed by Khordha (809) and Kendrapada (487).

With the fresh cases, the number of active cases in the state surged to 1,02,072.
