Odisha adds 887 new COVID-19 cases including 131 children; TPR 1.29%

Bhubaneswar: As many as 887 persons, including 131 who are below 18 years of age, tested positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours in Odisha while a total of 68717 samples were tested in the state, yesterday. The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) for the day stood at 1.29%.

Khurda district reported highest 323 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (119) and Balasore (56).

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 1003210 with 8226 active cases.

The Health Department also reported 69 more deaths due to COVID-19 as the toll rose to 7562. Cuttack district recorded highest 25 fatalities.
