Bhubaneswar: The Burla police of Sambalpur district today took Dhrubaraj Suna, husband of Sambalpur album actor Simran Singh, on a two-day remand in connection with the death of the actor.
The Sambalpur Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistarte (SDJM) allowed the Burla police to take the accused on a two-day remand for further interrogation.
Earlier on January 17, the Burla police had put up a ‘latka’ at the house of Simran's in-laws at Belpahra in Balangir district after they didn’t appear before police despite being served with notice in this regard.
Worth mentioning, Simran was found dead under a bridge of Mahanadi river near Goira Matha under Burla police limits in Sambalpur on January 3. Alleging that Simran has been killed, Simran’s family members suspected her husband’s involvement in the murder.
