Odisha album actor’s death: Simran’s last audio call goes viral

Sambalpur: In a major twist to the death of Odia album artiste Simran Singh, her last call record to a male friend, who is said to be her husband, has gone viral on social media.

Though initial reports suggested that the actor has been killed, the voice call record has now raised suspicion of suicide.

In the voice message, Simran claimed that she was mentally depressed and was going away from everyone.

“I am broken from inside. I would have left everything to come with you had you told me once to take me to your home. Wish you had made efforts to save the relationship. Be happy. I am going away…away from my family and everyone,” Siman said this in the call record.

Though the entire conversation between the two was not clearly audible, Siman’s friend, who is yet to be identified, was heard saying ‘why don’t you die.’

Yesterday, Simran’s mutilated body was found under a bridge of Mahanadi River near Goira Matha in Sambalpur. The 20-year-old girl has acted in several Sambalpuri music videos.

Investigation is on into the incident.
