Odisha: All you need to know about COVID vaccination for foreign-bound people

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has prioritised COVID vaccination of the citizens intending to travel abroad for education or job purposes. It has been decided to administer Covishield vaccine to such persons with provision for second dose after 28 days but before 84 days after administration of the first dose.

As per the decision of the government, only designated Government COVID Vaccine Centres (CVCs) will be allowed to vaccinate such people.

Before vaccination, genuineness of purpose of travel will be verified by the competent authority. It is advised that the vaccination may be availed in such cases through passport. However, if passport was not used at the time of administration of 1st dose, the details of the photo ID cards used for vaccination will be printed on the vaccination certificate.

The facilities shall be available to those who need to undertake international travel for the specified purposes in the period up to 31st August, 2021.
