Odisha: Ambulance driver fined for violating Covid-19 guidelines

Bhadrak: Amid nationwide lockdown, an ambulance driver was fined today for carrying passengers in his vehicle near Dahanigadia Chhak in Bhadrak district today morning.

As per reports, the ambulance carrying seven passengers was going towards Ghanteswar village under Chandbali block from Bhadrak town.

A joint team of the Bhadrak police and RTO intercepted the ambulance near Dahanigadia Chhak. During a preliminary inquiry, the police and RTO personnel came to know that the ambulance driver was carrying seven passengers in his vehicle, thereby violating the Covid-19 guidelines.

Later a fine of Rs 31,500 was imposed on the ambulance driver by Bhadrak RTO for violating the lockdown rules.
