Puri: In bid to deal with the traffic inflow for the annual Rath Yatra, Odisha government today announced to introduce 272 special buses to Puri beginning tomorrow till Suna Besha.

While 260 busses are currently running to Puri, additional 272 special buses have been arranged to ply to the Jagannath Dham from Rath Yatra to Suna Besha, said State Transport Minister Nrusingha Charan Sahu.

Besides, East Coast Railway (ECoR) on June 16 had announced introduction of 186 Rath Yatra special trains to pilgrim town Puri to deal with the rush during the annual festival of the Lords.

Similarly, a temporary bus stand has been set up at Talabania where as many as 400 devotees can stay at free of cost at the makeshift shelter point during the festival.

Facility of e-auto rickshaws has also been made from Talabania to carry pilgrims to Medical Square where the facility is free for Divyanga pilgrims.
