Odisha: Another spurious sauce manufacturing unit busted in Cuttack

Cuttack: Hours after an adulterated cement manufacturing unit was busted in Cuttack, the Commissionerate Police unearthed another spurious sauce manufacturing unit in Madhupatna area in the city today evening.

Acting on reliable information, the police personnel raided the manufacturing unit at Khapuria under Madhupatna police limits and seized a huge cache of raw materials, and logos and packets of reputed brands. One person, who was present at the manufacturing unit during the search, was detained.

Earlier in the day, a team of Jagatpur police raided a factory and seized huge quantity of adulterated cement and machineries. Packaging materials with labels of reputed brands were also seized.

Locals said the cement manufacturing unit had been operating in Jagatpur since last five years. More than one person were involved in running the unit.
