Odisha Assembly adjourned sine die ahead of schedule

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Assembly was adjourned sine die today ahead of the schedule. Though the winter session of the Assembly was scheduled to conclude on December 19, Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro adjourned the proceedings for indefinite period today.

The winter session, which began on November 13, got over after 13 business days. A total of four bills including the Supplementary Budget were passed in the House during the session.

Government Chief Whip Pramila Mallik had moved a motion for early closure of the winter session in view of no major issue to discuss in the House. Opposing the motion, BJP members had staged a walkout.
