Odisha Assembly’s interim budget session begins; Guv praises Puri Parikrama, Samaleswari projects

Bhubaneswar: The Interim Budget session of 16th Odisha Assembly began with Governor Raghubar Das’ address at the House here today.

At the beginning of the speech, the Governor praised Odisha Government’s Puri Parikrama (Shree Jagannath Heritage Corridor) project and the Samaleswari project after paying tribute to former members of Odisha Legislative Assembly including late Surjya Narayan Patro, Maheswar Mohanty, Ajay Kumar Jena, Saraswati Pradhan, Trilochan Kanungo, Nibedita Pradhan and Yudhisthir Samantray.

“The Government has prioritized the renovation, and redevelopment of religious sites to protect and preserve the cultural identity across the state. The Government has launched Shree Jagannath Express Bus Service under the LAccMI scheme to Puri from all 30 districts to provide facilities to devotees for visiting Puri Jagannath Temple. Ten days after the inauguration of Puri Parikrama project, the government dedicated the Samaleswari project to the people of the state. The project has been carried out for Rs 200 crore,” Das said.
