Odisha Assly adjourned till 3 PM amid ruckus by Opp over Mahanadi issue

Uproar over Mahanadi issue continued to halt proceedings in Odisha Assembly as Opposition members created ruckus in the House today demanding Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s statement over the matter following which the Speaker adjourned the House till 3 PM.

As soon as the House assembled for the day, Congress and BJP members rushed to the Well of the House and created noise demanding the Chief Minister’s statement over the Mahanadi issue again.

Congress Chief Whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati demanded that the Chief Minister should make a clear statement in the House regarding the stand of the state government on the matter.

Unable to run the House, Speaker Niranjan Pujari adjourned the Assembly till 3 PM.

Notably, the House had witnessed similar scenes yesterday as the Assembly was adjourned repeatedly due to ruckus created by Opposition members over Mahanadi issue.
