Odisha: Auto carrying 15 passengers overturns in Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: At least 15 persons were injured, including five critically, after an auto-rickshaw they were travelling in overturned near Rimuli bypass under Champua Police limits in Keonjhar district today.

All the injured, who are residents of Badanai village in the district, work as daily laborers.

According to the sources, the laborers were going to work in the auto. The incident occurred after the auto driver lost control over the vehicle as he got panicked seeing a police patrolling near Rimuli bypass.

On receiving the information, police personnel reached the spot, rescued the victims and admitted them to Champua Sub-Divisional Hospital. Later, the five critically-injured persons were shifted to Keonjhar District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).
