Odisha B.Ed students stranded in AP rescued

Bhubaneswar: As many as 42 B.Ed students from Odisha, who were stranded in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh due to countrywide lockdown for coronavirus, have been rescued.

A video regarding the ordeal of the students had surfaced on various social media platforms. Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy then urged his Andhra Pradesh counterpart to intervene in the matter.

Local administration in Prakasam district reached out to the students and conducted a health check-up and certified that the students were healthy and good to travel. The students boarded two APSRTC buses last night and headed towards Odisha.

All of them have expressed their gratitude towards Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, local administration in Prakasam, chief secretaries of Odisha and AP for their efforts in rescuing them.
