Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) appointed new functionaries and dissolved the previous state-level office bearers of the party with immediate effect. However, district-level office bearers will continue to hold their respective offices as before, an order issued today by BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik said.
Accordingly, Santrupt Misra was given the charge of Political Secretary to Naveen Patnaik.
Sukant Kumar Panda was appointed as PRO to the Leader of Opposition (LoP).
In addition, five leaders namely Santrupt Misra, Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, Amar Patnaik, Sasmit Patra, and Pradeep Kumar Majhi were given the charge of BJD national spokespersons.
Likewise, the leaders who were appointed as state-level spokespersons are Prasanna Acharya, Pramila Mallik, Debi Prasad Mishra, Pratap Keshari Deb, Arun Kumar Sahoo, Dibya Shankar Mishra, Devi Ranjan Tripathy, Shrimayee Sweta Snigdha Mishra, Lekhashree Samantsinghar, Sudam Marndi, Sulata Deo, Ramesh Chandra Majhi, Bhrugu Baxipatra, and Lenin Mohanty.
Similarly, replacing the existing panel, some party leaders were appointed as the media coordinators; such as Pratap Jena (senior state media coordinator), Swayam Prakash (social media coordinator), Lenin Mohanty (media coordinator), and Priyabrata Majhi (media coordinator).
