Odisha BJP leader Ashok Panigrahi hints at quitting party

Bhubaneswar: Political circles in the State are abuzz with talks after senior BJP leader Ashok Panigrahi today hinted at quitting the saffron party. In an interview to a private channel, Panigrahi said, “BJP has been neglecting me. The required importance has not been given to me in the party.”

He further stated BJP is not keeping its words that it had given to him earlier. “Moreover, the party did not give me a chance to contest the general polls 2019,” Panigrahi said resentfully.

On his future political move, Panigrahi said after holding talks with supporters he would decide upon the next step in a day or two.

Worth mentioning, the former MLA had quit BJD in 2018 and joined BJP. However, he was denied a ticket during general polls 2019.
