It is said that doctors are angels sent on Earth by God. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is all praise for an Odisha born doctor who performed the successful kidney transplant surgery on her at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
The Union minister took to micro-blogging site Twitter to express her gratitude towards Dr Mukut Minz who conducted the surgery on December 10.

The 64-year-old firebrand leader was today discharged from AIIMS this evening, 10 days after she underwent a kidney transplant at the premier hospital.
"Sushma Swaraj has been discharged from Hospital at 7 PM after her postoperative uneventful recovery following kidney transplant operation on December 10," the hospital said in a statement.
She thanked the doctors, the hospital staff and the well wishers post her discharge.

Dr Minz, presently the Director-Transplant Surgery at Fortis Hospital in Mohali, along with Dr VK Bansal from AIIMS led the operation.
Earlier, Dr Minz has also worked as the head of the department of renal transplant surgery at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER).
After completing his MBBS from VSS Medical College and Hospital, Burla, he pursued his MS in General Surgery from PGIMER, Chandigarh.
The Sundargarh born doctor is also the recipient of Odisha Gaurav Samman in 2012 for his exemplary work in the field of transplantation.
