Odisha born Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Pradeep Kumar Mohanty’s father passed away this morning in Thiruvananthapuram. He was 88.

Prafulla Kumar Mohanty passed at the official residence of his son who is the chief secretary of Kerala.

Notably, Prafulla was one of Odisha's first chartered accountants and had retired as general manager of public-sector Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd.

His last rites are scheduled to be held in Kerala capital this evening.
