Bhubaneswar: Odisha's Jyoti Ranjan Sahu is amassing heaps of praises from judges and audience on reality dance show 'Dance Deewane' with his expressive dance style.
He entered the show as a wild card contestant in the 15th episode and impressed the judges Madhuri Dixit, Shashank Khaitan and Tushar Kalia with his contemporary dancing.
While Bollywood's dancing diva Madhuri Dixit is in awe of his effortlessly clean moves, director Shashank Khaitan cannot praise him enough for his versatility. Jyoti is being currently compared to choreographer Tushar Kalia for his talent. Be it elegant cartwheels, sharp fan kicks or even steps using his head, Jyoti is a delight to watch.
From lyrical contemporary on the song 'Sunn Saathiya', where Jyoti dances as Krishna, to enacting Kalam Hassan's character in Sadma that moved those present in the studio and a power-packed Parkour performance last weekend, this Bhubaneswarite is giving tough competition to the rest of the participants in just six episodes.
Due to lack of financial aid, it seemed as if Jyoti's dream of becoming a dancer would remain unfulfilled, however, judge Tushar has taken him under his wings and assured to help him train.
Last year, Jyoti had made it to the Top 12 of another dance reality show, Super Dancer 2, aired on Sony Television. He is a student of Class VIII in Kendriya Vidyalaya-4 in Bhubaneswar and his father works in a bank.
