Odisha boy Jyotiranjan tops GATE 2018 in Agricultural engineering

Bhubaneswar: Odisha boy Jyotiranjan Barik made the state proud achieving success in all India Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination 2018.

Jyotiranjan, a student of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), topped the national level test in the Agricultural Engineering subject with overall score of 959.

The results were announced by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, on Saturday.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated the talented student on his success.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote:

Delighted to learn that Odia student from Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) Jyotiranjan Barik has topped the all India Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering #GATEExam2018. Many congratulations to him and wishing him all success in his career

Notably, the GATE 2018 was conducted on February 3, 4, 10 and 11. The students aspiring to pursue master’s and doctoral programmes in engineering and technology at Indian Institute of Science and all IITs had appeared the examinations from across the country.
