Odisha: BTech girl dies by suicide in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A BTech girl allegedly died by suicide over family dispute at Railway Colony under Chandrasekharpur police limits here today.

The deceased has been identified as RN Niyati Nayak (24). She had completed BTech in Electronics and Telecommunication from Burla in Sambalpur. The deceased girl’s father is a signal section engineer and her mother is a doctor, sources said.

The girl reportedly ended her life by hanging herself with a dupatta at their home. The incident occurred when the girl’s family members were away in a hospital to attend her younger sister, sources said.

On being informed, Chandrasekharpur police have begun a probe into the incident. The girl’s body would be sent for postmortem tomorrow.
