Odisha: Builder escapes bid on life for second time

Rourkela: A builder escaped narrowly after miscreants opened fired at him in Rourkela this morning.

The builder identified as Anmol Singh had a providential escape as the bullets shot at him missed the target and hit another person travelling in the vehicle.

Singh was travelling in his SUV when armed miscreants chased him and opened fire at the vehicle. He was on his way from Beladihi to Rourkela when the incident happened.

Though Singh escaped unhurt, his bodyguard sustained a bullet injury.

Following the incident, Brahmanitarang police reached the spot and begun investigation into the incident.

The local police seized five empty cartridges from the spot.

On the other hand, police rushed the injured to Ispat General Hospital (IGH) here where his condition is stated to be ‘out of danger’.

Worth mentioning, it is the second time assailants unsuccessfully attempted to eliminate the builder.

Meanwhile, a manhunt has been launched to nab the miscreants.
