Kendrapara: A major mishap was averted  after a bus carrying passengers from Cuttack had a head-on collision with a truck near Tarini Chhak on NH-5 under Marshaghai police limits in Kendrapara district today.

Though no casualty was reported,  at least 10 persons were injured in the mishap. All the injured have been admitted to a hospital here for treatment.

Sources said when the bus ‘Shriya’ was en-route to Paradip from Cuttack, a truck coming from opposite direction collided with it near Tarini Chhak. After the accident, the truck driver fled the spot with his vehicle.
