Odisha: Bus movement in Green Zone likely

Bhubaneswar: Movement of buses in Green Zone districts of Odisha is likely to resume, hinted Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera today.

A proposal regarding plying of buses in Green Zone of the state has been forwarded to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the minister said, adding that bus service will resume in the districts after approval by the CM.

Provisions are being made to restart bus movement with 50 percent passenger occupancy while step will be taken to ensure that bus owners don’t incur losses, he said.

Worth mentioning, the Odisha government had yesterday prohibited bus service in all three zones of the state during the third phase of the lockdown.
