Odisha Cabinet approves 10 proposals

In a significant decision, the Odisha Cabinet today approved a proposal to grant compensation to the entire village in the event of 75% of the land being acquired for an irrigation project being private land, sources said.

The Cabinet which met today with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in chair gave its approval to ten important proposals, sources added.

The Cabinet also approved a proposal seeking state government to stand guarantee for securing additional loans for Aska Coop. Sugar Industries Limited, sources revealed.

Amendments to Sales Tax and VAT were also approved by the Cabinet at the meeting, sources added.
