Odisha Cabinet to discuss 14 proposals today

The Odisha Cabinet will discuss 14 proposals at a meeting here this morning.

According to reports, the meeting, to be presided over by chief minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat here, will discuss the Odisha Land Grabbing Prohibition Bill. While the Cabinet has passed an ordinance on this bill earlier, it would again take up the issue since the bill has not been tabled in the State Assembly.

The Cabinet would also discuss amendments in the Odisha Administrative Tribunal Act, Odisha Workcharge Employees’ Rules, VAT Rules, District Planning Committee Act, Odisha Civil Supply Amendment Rules, Multi-purpose Health Workers’ Law, Horticulture rules and Civil Service Appointment Rules.

Besides, it would also deliberate on land premium revision proposal, enactment of new laws leading to police force and proposal on 121st Constitutional amendment.

Besides, the Cabinet is most likely to approve the appointment of the new Advocate General.
