Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to meet at Lokseva Bhawan here on April 24 (tomorrow).

The meeting will be held at around 5.30 pm, sources said.

At least 10 important proposals of Agriculture, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water, Rural Development, Skill Development, Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Revenue departments are likely to get the Cabinet approval tomorrow, sources added.

It is worth mentioning here that the Chief Minister had presided over the first-of-its-kind digital cabinet meeting from the Japanese city of Kyoto on April 9.

Patnaik, who was leading a high level delegation in Japan to attract investment to Odisha, had taken some key decisions during the first-ever digital cabinet meeting.

While the Chief Minister presided over the meeting through digital mode, his cabinet colleagues joined the meeting in the state capital.

During the meeting, the cabinet gave its nod to a proposal for setting up of a ‘Directorate for Odisha Parivar’ to provide the necessary support to Pravasi Odias or Odia people living in other parts of the country and abroad.

The proposed directorate would strengthen the relation between Non-Resident Odias (NROs) and the state government, sources said.
