Bhubaneswar: Odisha Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera today informed that camps will be opened at block and sub-divisional levels for issuing vehicle-related documents.

To facilitate issuance of Driving Licence (DL) and Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate, special camps will be set up at block and sub-divisional headquarters. Testing of vehicles for PUC will be conducted at the camps, the minister said.

Behera's announcement comes a day after the State Government made online pollution testing certificate mandatory with effect from October 1. Though vehicle owners will continue to get relaxation upto December 1, Pollution Testing Centres can not issue manual certificates from October 1.

Citizens will have the option to show the online certificate in mParivahan mobile phone application instead of the hard copy. Manual PUC certificates issued before September 30 will remain valid.
