Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Capital bagged the prestigious certificate of ODF++ under the Centre’s ‘Swachh Bharat’ mission. According to the third party inspection report, areas under the jurisdiction of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) can be certified as Open Defecation Free++ as on December 11, 2020.

Schools in the city could not inspected as those were closed due to Covid-19 pandemic, as per the inspection report.

Bhubaneswar city has been divided into 67 wards and has a total population of 8,85,363.

Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary thanked the citizens and other stakeholders after the city bagged the ODF++ certificate.
